The Frontier Kapyong Urban Reserve design focuses on the naturalistic elements of our prairie Manitoba landscapes. The design is also extraordinarily bicycle and pedestrian friendly. The two large facilities on the south end of the proposed site are used for garbage incineration and snow melting procedures, to generate heat and energy, and also produce grey water for urban applications.

Land | Terre Design Research Network is a collective aimed at increasing awareness and research in landscape architecture across Canada. Academic researchers from seven institutions are joining forces to reduce the country’s geographic span by tackling research questions that impact us regionally, and nationally.
